Steam Deck and/or Hardware filters on reviews
It would ve helpful having filters on the hardware where the game was run.
At least, it could be good to have a filter for Steam Deck

If you wanna know how a particular game does on the Steam Deck, you can use ProtonDB and scroll through user feedback if there is any.

(Make sure to filter reports for the distro: SteamOS)

You can also use the store ratings mentioned above, but keep in mind that it is also far from curated, especially with brand new games that might not run on the Steam Deck with much fps to spare at all.

A goiod idea on paper , until you remember that a given steam user can be using any number of machines.

I agree. The current store is very annoying to browse, and it would indeed be much better to have a filter where you only get to see verified steam deck games. The "greatondeck" URL only shows so much, making people doubt if it's a wise investment: "there's only few games". But there are a lot of other games available for the deck. It's just difficult to find them in the massive library of games out there.

The store today is very annoying. I'd like to see a similar approach like the playstation store where you can start from the platform, and then browse all available games running on that platform.

The ProtonDB plugin on Decky Loader integrates the rating into the game cards and it gets the job done effectively.

There is already a store filter for games that are verified on the SteamDeck

“Narrow by Deck compatibility”

Select “Verified”

sorry, missed all your replies :)

Yeah my point is not about steam deck compatibility per se, but it is more about improving helpfulness and context of a review.

Take the porting of TLOU, it was a nightmare at the beginning but wasn't for everyone. So when a user writes a review saying "oh it's running very bad! my cpu is exploding!" Sure, what CPU are you on?
Or talking about steam deck, I find very useful knowing if the review is based on a Steam Deck hardware on some other. Going to external website like protondb is just fine, but it's anoter use case.
