You can't know 100% but when someone drops a formal 8 paragraph essay on the topic of the idea of "going outside" and then replies to everyone with 3-4 paragraphs of rambling that doesn't really give a clear point and says common sense stuff for the sake of talking then it is pretty safe to assume it is written by a bot.
It's like AI generated art. It looks legit until you pay attention and notice mistakes that people just wont do like pinky being the longest finger, odd asymmetrical design when it should be symmetrical, body parts way off aligned. Generated text can also have flaws. It depends on how the user uses it too and the context of the situation.
It called either too lazy to type full paragraphs which happens or mad so they don't type correctly. And people do make mistakes when writing lol, we are humans after all and humans make mistakes and also depends on the person's original language as well.
Heck I know English but I don't write like a nerd 24/7 with big Long paragraphs that be annoying. And I hardly indent paragraphs there is no need.
We aren't in school anymore you know, that Grammer stuff is fake, no one cares about it except for teachers. We don't need perfect Grammer for anything in life unless your a English teacher.
So again you can't really tell, unless who ever this chat gpt thing has a copyright feature and starts flagging them it self when not mentioning it was from chat gpt I highly doubt anyone can tell it was from a bot but even then I doubt it because if they did it could lead to lawsuits against the creators if it flags stuff that wasn't written by them.
So honestly I don't see why someone care about it it just words. And if that person tried to get a job using chat gpt he or she wouldn't be able to if he or she can't write.
But some jobs may care about Grammer but if excel in other areas, Grammer is usually overlooked unless they teaching a class or something.
I don't think there is any jobs that care about Grammer anymore anyways except for English teachers or people who study Grammer in school.
At a minimum, writing well enough so others understand what you're trying to say is important. You don't necessarily need to write like a professional submitting to the editor for publishing all the time, but basic grammar, spelling, punctuation, and use of paragraphs go a long way toward making what you write more readable.
If nobody understands what it is you're trying to say, or what you write is too painful and annoying to read, then you're really just wasting your time writing it in the first place.
No no. I mean the person IS posting full formal multiple paragraphs with no typo and accurate grammar. Almost no one is going to type multiple paragraphs on certain subjects in vast majority of cases.
For example explaining what socializing means.
Its either copypasta or AI generated but with AI generation I think copypasta will lose a ton of popularity
So... lets begin.
1) Chat GPT posts arrived after award system. Which, alas, insn´t coincidence at all. After ChatGPT arrived to the forum, then these posts were very frequent. First of all. If they would be wrote like specific thing about specific game with specific points where you can clearly see point of the thread then yes. Why not? But this isn´t that case. Not a single exception.
2) These threads are across entire forum after Clown award system started to be a thing. Because its, with even average knowladge about gaming community, incredibly easy to make people angry about something with few things. MMO systems for purely singleplayer game. Skins and microtransactions for popular games what was not known for these things etc etc etc.
3) Do you know what these posts have similiar? Pattern in which each one of them is wrote. And do you know what has this style of writting? ChatGPT.
4) These posts are almost in every forum about any game after award system arrived. Till then there was not a single thread like this in any forum. Even when ChatGPT is "old" enough to being used for these posts you mentioned. But it wasn´t used at all. Strange, huh?
5) When you find these posts, then you will see how same they are. Thats how you can detect post made by AI from ChatGPT.
6) As I said multiple times.: "This was written by an AI. I can tell by the paragraph formatting and the organization. It's impersonal, not actually connected to the subject at hand, vaguely applicable to any (insert game title here) without specifying any details, and it was done just to troll this forum."
Perfect example. You´re not doing it. Because you are human. But do you know what is amazing detail with these accounts? Its not definitely all of them at all. It would not be true, but one thing 70% of them have common for sure. Their post history is full of posts with same asnwer like "Care to explain?" Very non-provoking, huh?
Which AI is able to parrotting with very surprising precision. You just type in which way this ChatGPT should write and this AI will do it. But even there are patterns what you can easily recognize when you are educated enough in how AI works. And you just need only to take a short look at it.
Thats where you´re wrong so much. When you look at these accounts and it´s post history, then you will see most of the time that they have their provoking answers per minute and their post history is full 50 hours of responding in row. Which isn´t, again, in human´s possibilities to answer like that so mayn hours in row almost every minute with generic answers, right? There is so many options how to recognize AI bot or someone who used it just for provoking and clown awawrd farming. Do you know how often are these AI posts? With same pattern with same answers with same alt 0 level accounts where these accounts are changing in these posts but all of them are working across these threads with same responses again and again.
