put back the ability to choose how to take a screenshot please.

i had screenshots set to shift f12 because there are games like world of warships where f12 actually gets used. i have noticed since some latest update to the new look my setting for screenshot key seems missing. i keep having to waste HUGE amounts of my time deleting unwanted screenshots. i dont care what stupid idea in some pointless meeting about removing this was made, PUT IT BACK.

or add a setting to disable it entirely and i will use PRT SCN like windows does if i need or want a screenshot. i DONT want steam to change my settings like some sort of patronising parent. im probably older than everyone who made this decision to remove my choice what to use for screenshots. you dont have enough budget to compensate me for the time you have begun wasting while i sort out the mess you create on my storage by taking screenshots whenever i try to use a comms preset message in world of warships. i certainly dont want steam taking screenshots when im in skyrim trying to do something in the console or with a mod that uses f12.

DIDNT ANYONE EVEN THINK THAT JUST MAYBE I SET IT TO SHIFT F12 BECAUSE GAMES USE THAT A LOT LESS THAN F12 ALONE? UNFORTUNATELY SHIFT F12 IS ALSO USED IN WORLD OF WARSHIPS FOR COMMS (sort of) AND NOW I CANT EVEN PICK A MORE RARE KEY COMBO BECAUSE YOU TOOK CHOICE FROM ME AND DECIDED YOU KNOW BETTER THAN ME WHAT KEYS I SHOULD USE.

i know better than you what to do with those people making these decisions to try to justify their continued employment. fire them and downsize your dev team so they only work on bugs and code streamlining not making work for themselves and removing features and choice from users while bloating the code so it takes more ram and cpu and gpu resource than the games steam is supposed to let us run.

just to clarify its the arbitrary changing of the setting. i was annoyed when i realised this had been changed for no reason. i know there is a setting but while the shift tab for opening overlay is visible (and is where the screenshot key setting ought to be, up top and visible) the screenshot key you need to scroll down to find the setting.

but again, this setting should NEVER be unilaterally changed. not even if steam does that in an update and then tells you on login after 'we deleted some settings to waste your time please find them in the maze of steam settings and fix them yourself.'

it shouldnt be happening, at all.
