VR App Privacy without blocking all game details

Hi, I have VR and I have clocked up over 100 hours using a video player. To any freinds looking at my profile this would seem a bit embarassing as it might be considered its used for pornographic material. I had been going Invisible mode but now I am at the point where I had to hide my entire game details (games list and hours played), I actually preferred that people could see it though.

It used to just display that I'm playing Steam VR, but now the games come up in my profile. But for me the video player apps are not something I want to publicise.

My feature request is, give us the option to hide specific apps\games from our profile. In my opinion, the more people on steam with game data showing, the better it is as a platform. But its possible many hidden profiles are because of 1 or 2 games in their list which they might not want people seeing for whatever reason.

If your friends make fun of you for how many hours you have in a game, go get better friends. Real friends don't care about that stuff.

In my nearly 2 decades of gaming on Steam, I've only ever had one person question a game I was playing. I said ya, I like the base type of game (mahjong), so what? They have not bugged me since.

People are going to make fun of you if you have too many hours, not enough hours, no hours. The kind of game it is, how many achievements you have or don't have and so on.

If they keep bugging you about it, tell them to stop, if they don't stop tell them you will remove them as a friend if they don't stop. If they don't, then remove them because they are not a good friend.

People need to stand up for themselves and not hide stuff they like. There is a reason why I don't bother hiding any of my games, its because I don't care what other people think of the games I play. If they don't like them, then do play them its as simple as that.
