And DCLoud gaming always sounds good untill you realize.
A.) ClOud Gaming doesn't work well with Modding which would basically tank a game like Morrowind
B.) CLoud Gaming is very hard to pull off. YOu basically have all the lag, ping, and latency problems of multiplayer gaming...in single player.
Those games ONLY work on old OS like win7 8 and far back win xp. Those could be put on a virtual machines with the MODS included, then put out into the cloud for us to play (with our game license we should hav ability to play )
Microsoft is gonna take-over the cloud m sony is out there and many others.
I've played Morrowind and deus ex on windows 10 and 11 and they work fine.
Cloud gaming is expensive, Microsoft gates it behind a monthly subscription afaik, and it requires massive expenditures of money to implement.
If you have issues with specific games, you need to try troubleshooting rather than presuming it just doesn't work,
it just doesnt work first install, even if you manage to get it running the game still had glitches hapening while in-game.
Again some people having issues doesn't mean the game doesnt work, it means there are issues with THEIR PC.
People having problems and being unable or unwilling to address them with available fixes/knowledge is a fact that no one is disputing. It's a well known feature of PC gaming. You either get to work and become capable, or you start avoiding old games because it's too much of a hassle, for you, the individual to manage.
Welcome to PC gaming. Where most any game can be made to work on any system, but it's not always plug and play like a console.
A person talking about a crash every '2-3 months' doesn't sound like a game not working.
Well aside from plenty of working examples, known issues, workarounds, configuration fixes and other details.
It's not a boolean issue. Lots of games will work on modern systems, but need a little TLC. No one is going to argue otherwise, it's a well known facet of PC gaming. However when people claim games aren't working, very often it's a lazy and ignorant argument. And ignoring all the existing knowledge about the game doesn't make a false statement more true. And people unable or unwilling to do the needed work don't really have a leg to stand on given the nature of PC gaming, in my opinion.
Some games ain't gonna remade or remastered. So either you want to play them bad enough where you can live with a few warts. Or you don't.
Not really, the facts are games will work on almost everyone's computer, but there will always be issue with people who have a problem on their PC. It not working for a few people doesn't mean it doesn't work for the majority of people.
Thats like trying to claim because 1 person has a bad reaction to a drug that the drug is bad and doesn't work. There isn't a game out there that won't have a crash or issue on SOMEONES computer somewhere
