Some server browsers use obvious bot names for bots, or put BOT/BOTS in the front of the name, which is up to the server operator to name bots if people want to see how many real people are in.

Regardless, I don't really believe there's an issue here since this seems like normal operation for a multi-player game. Also the devs don't control dedicated servers that are non official.
From the looks of it, they didn't really make bots to "mimic" people, but upped the AI to play better against players? And this has been around for at least 6+ months, seemingly.
Seems more like they just upped parameters, added more reactionary ability, and upped the difficulty slider.
Like when you up the AI difficulty in Smash, you get basic AI, then you've got stuff that dodges, ledge guards, and actually punishes when you crank it to 9.
Or are you talking potential bots in player matches?
