Steam Deck "launcher skip" convenience
Hey I know for a lot of folks adding -nolauncher or whatnot is super easy, but since the Deck is supposed to take a console-like approach it would be awesome if Valve could add a simple checkbox preference for launchers after first time start, or maybe just even in the game preferences panel that does the same thing. Essentially unearths the function because not everyone would intuit to add custom startup variables. Just wanted to put it out there!

Steam doesn’t know what the exe does when you launch a game. Each launcher wi have its own methods. The developer would have to create a separate launch option in steam that bypasses the launcher which you can then select as the default for future launches

Aka the developer controls this so ask them

This is one of those "easy to say, hard/impossible to do" ideas. I understand the idea you have, but Satoru is right and Valve isn't going to be able to micromanage the .exe the developer has configured to Steam to launch like you imagine or want Valve to.
