a way to turn off notification sounds

steam recently updated their client adding sounds for when you get steam cloud sync errors and achievement obtaining or any other sounds they might of added

it makes this little sound to tell you that you got that notif and there is no way to turn off these sounds in the options that i can see

i have had to turn mute the steam client in my audio mixer to avoid hearing it as its annoying and unnecessary

You can turn off all notification toast sounds in the settings (Steam > Settings > Notifications). It is all or nothing.

Cloud sync errors, not sure.

but i dont want to turn off all the sounds, i want certain ones off hence the post.

i wont hear steam messages come in if i turn off all sounds so yea i'd like more options

I'm not disagreeing with you. I asked an warned people when people suggested adding sounds for achievements for Valve to add a toggle specifically to turn it off separate from all other sounds.

And Valve went with the universal sound toggle, just like I warned they would.

so because of others i have to deal with dumb sounds that not everyone asked for... nice smh
