Please help us get Georgian Currency(GEL) on Steam.
It has been a good decade since Steam became popular in Georgia and now almost every gaming enthusiast uses it. Thing is we have to pay premium prices even though we are a poor country. Turkey, for example, gets games for cheaper even though they have better conditions than us and they are our neighbor.

Currently Steam forces us to use CIS dollar, which is unaccaptable and highly offenensive to us as we are not in CIS at all. Average wages here $300-$350 and games cost quite a lot resorting many to use other means of acquiring a game.

Please help us get our own store front so we can confidently be part of Steam community.

This won't get a currency on Steam faster. Valve adds currencies every now and then after doing research. With the state of the world and economics, they likely won't add new ones anytime soon.

There are various other countries that also don't have their currency on Steam yet and that Valve might make decisions which ones to implement sooner than later. So keep in mind that your market might not have the importance you think it has.

Also keep in mind that when a currency gets added, that doesn't necessarily mean game prices will be better for you. And since developers/publishers have to add prices to a new currency, any game that doesn't have a price, which often means games where developers/publishers are less active, will not be available for purchase.

At the very least I can raise awareness.

Thank you for your comment.
