This is a better system because users can choose the information they receive. They may not want unsolicited recommendations from you.
Okay... it's more than one click but write a short one liner shouldn't be the problem, no
-yeah, i guess like 20-25% of people played a game leave a review, and no one checks their feed
-why would be a friend(s)(IRL/friends i went to school with/ a person i know and their taste and vise versa) would not want a recommendation from me?
Okay again;
-most people are casual gamers and dont read the feed our anything like that,
-but people listen to their friend when they are recommended a game(i know my friends a what they like/dont like)
well, you just could toggle it on, :SUPRISEPICATCHUFACE:
an again: -but people listen to their friend when they are recommended a game(i know my friends a what they like/dont like)
If I got random friend game recommendations I would not be happy...because I don't want them.
Even if I did, I also certainly would not want a game recommendation from a friend that simply pushed a button without a reason as to why said friend recommended the game.
Again, that's why reviews are important and why reviews are geared towards "recommendation" rather than whether a game is good or not.
How can it be random if its a friend of you, yourself have added to your friendslist? if your FL is full of shady people, thats on you.

I always check my activity feed, as doe I check reviews for games I'm interested in that appear in said feed.
What I do not want is notification spam just because people press that "recommend to friend" button. That people are on my friends list does not mean I'm open to get spammed.
Besides... you don't have to write a full review, you can just tag the games and wrote one or two sentences about what makes you think it's a good game. ¯\_
