Family Sharing should let you choose which account to run the game from
I have members in family sharing that own the same game - if you need a specific game - Hexcells Infinite (but there are others as well).

When I search in the library - it will only show me this game from one account and I have no choice which account to run it from.

In another case we own two copies of Baba is You - one on each machine but Family Sharing is only showing me the one one the machine I am not on.

If I have the library group my games by account - it will only show the game once - even if multiple accounts own it.

Don't expect Valve to make this option themselves.

The system picks the library that is shared and that leads to headaches.

Only other way around it is SFS Select...

You should all use it when multiple people are using sharing for multiple accounts and own the same game that is being shared on multiple accounts.

But shouldn't at least default to the machine you are on?

You would think, right? Going by how long SFS-Select has been used (since the beta for SFS), you can hope for changes but don't expect changes.

Does anyone know if I use file explorer to find the one on my local machine - if family sharing will use the account associated with that? Is there any way to tell?

Thanks
