Steam gift cards being discontinued

some stores are discontinuing steam gift cards and it stresses me out cause i only get them for myself due to not having a credit card....
please keep the physical gift cards, thank you

Our Steamcards have returned in Australia and they have been redesigned. Perhaps that is the cause of supply issues?

ideally steam should still offer gift cards but use printable reciepts with numbers needed to redem credit , this type of giftcards been around for a long time and its cheap to print on a store reciept and it also does not create unneeded plastic card waste.

steam was warned, and marked for buy out, but who will buy them out because they are in a mess, thats why gift cards arent available. maybe just my opinion but thats my take on the no gift cards, or they want turn woke again and go full on digital curry, but that will not work, it will as they are now, running it down for buy out

You are correct in it being just your opinion, though a wrong opinion. I spoke with a best buy in saskatchwan , the employee states demand for it lowered, thus lower supply and eventually they stopped ordering them. I can't say the same for any other establishment but I'd wager it is for the same reason. I recall walmart carrying them here and eventually did not.
