A sea of fake servers who all rediret you to one

Since now 3 years, there is an en-masse scam operation taking place on all Source based games platforms.
The servers are called Fastpath

They have found a way to exploit players steam auth tickets, keeping them long after the players have disconnected.
Making their servers look packed.
On each game platform they have created about 20 fake silent redirect servers. Rendering this a mass scale operation.
This on repeat is emptying all legitimate servers. Making the few real ones impossible to find, lost in a sea of fake servers.

This operation has many facets,
I will list a few here:

All players names are copied and re assigned to bots once they leave
All their fake servers have names copied from other servers
They ban players and demand money to unban
Threats of shutting down servers if monies are not received
Could the exploit of steam auth tickets be patched. (I guess an extra timeout method must be added)
Could the scammer's IP addresses be banned from Source games

there is no reason for anyone to be running servers by the hundreds all with faked stats, this is clearly malicious and has gone unaddressed for several years.

i miss the time when Valve actually cared about their stuff

in reading you we would say especially the words of someone jealous that a server works better than his. It's like a business when it works there will always be small competitors who will do everything to denigrate this company.

Pretty sure this has been common since early days of TF2, remember full well about servers being half full and being sent to an empty one.

VALVE, when does something get done about this?

they are copying other people's server names and filling them with fake players with copied usernames

this is clearly against TOS and exploiting a bug which exists in all source games, are you ever gonna do anything about it?

This is never going to get anything done.
