This has happened to me recently. Something which needs to be addressed, I think.
If you quote me and only want a specific section you can.

Which is a big problem. We all know what is right and what is wrong, but, some simply do not care if it suits their purpose.
I do not know how complicated it would be to prevent this happening.
The most noxious form of this type of editing is to quote a phrase out of context. The quote itself is accurate, but, divorced from the context a seemingly accurate quote's meaning can be distorted or even reversed.
Upper right corner of any editable post is a drop-down menu. That menu has options to edit or delete.

after that threshold is crossed, you cannot delete the first post.
replies within the thread can be deleted at any time.
try this out by making a new thread, maybe in offtopic, or new to steam

Thought it was kinda funny, just found this out the hard way after a ton of bad formatting.
