Steam Client Update new launch options

In the most recent (2 February 2023) steam client update:

Replaced launch option dialog with new UI that includes a checkbox to remember the user's selection - this selection can be changed in game properties

This is great, except for the game I want to use it with, it only works with the Library Play button, not the shortcut pointing to: "steam://rungameid/...."

Do you mean this update:
1 February - Steam Client Update Released
A new Steam client has been released and will be automatically downloaded.

This keeps redownloading itself and asking me to restart Steam. A different update was doing this a few months ago too.

Yes. In my local timezone, it was released 2 February 2023.
