Either way, until Google releases their supposed Bluetooth 'enabling' thing Steam can't really address whether it can be added
Steam picks the Stadia controller up as a generic gamepad, meaning it'll show Xbox glyphs right now.
There are some glyphs that can be re-used from the Steam Deck set.
Please add Official Controller Support for Stadia Controller Bluetooth mode Post Stadia shutdown,
Remapping via Steam UI is causing issues and most games still aren't detecting the controller ingame
Steam UI is a nightmare to get this controller working...i can't get passed mapping the guide button Stadia Logo as it boots me out from big picture mode everytime...
I skipped that button and finally tried to play 3 different games and all 3 had half working controls, terrible experience, i cant tell if this is Steam or the Stadia controller yet when i test the controller via gamepad tester in Steam it works without issues...
I hope Steam can add official support for this controller like they have done with all other console controllers

This controller features two extra buttons, labeled Screenshot (which has the exact same function as the Share button in Xbox Series X|S controllers) and Assistant, and both of them could be remapped and given use within games, if Steam Input were to give us the option.
Please, add actual support for the Stadia Controller and drop the "generic controller" label. Let us use this controller to it's fullest.

- Automatic "patching" of the triggers to render them as Analogue Triggers on Windows (a bug currently only sees them as digital, fix is found by applying the .reg file from this GitHub project: https://github.com/ChristopherKlay/StadiaEnhanced/tree/main/controller).
- Google Stadia glyphs (Reusing standard face buttons, triggers and bumpers could be done, The Start/Menu glyph from the Steam Deck and the Quick Access Menu glyph from the Steam Deck could be reused for the Menu and Options buttons on the Stadia Contoller. New glyphs for the Google Assistent, the Screenshot and Stadia buttons are required however.).
- Giving us the ability to remap the Google Assistent and Screenshot buttons. Currently, Steam Input (on the Steam Deck, at least) does not recognise the extra buttons and thus makes them not remappable/usable at this point. This would be neat for a screenshot button (just like the DualSense's microphone button does) and some other shortcut like the Quick Access menu on the Steam Deck, through the Assistant button.
