Option to set PS Controller Icon?

I found that many game use default icon for controller as Xbox icon.
Worst part is many games cannot change the icon into PS Controller icon.
(PC Games that have version release on PS console also have this problem)

Since steam have setting option for many controller,
is it possible for Steam to also have some option to change icon for games?
I think main responsibility for this problem are game developer,
so i'm not sure that is it really can steam technically add option to change icon.

But is it possible in anyway that steam can also made this convenient for player or help in some way?
(Such as, set standard for game that "if you want to release on steam, developer must have option to select controller icon" or something like that)

Demanding game devs to do this is not something Valve will do.

I've heard that some games have mods to replace those icons. Maybe you get lucky and find something, depending on the game.

Game side not Steam side. Need the devs to code them and include the icons for this to work and the fact is the vast majority don't bother.

There are mods for some games or you can mod them yourself....find the XYAB icons and replace them PS style icons. Or do what most of us have done and just get used to them., Sure it's confusing at first but with some practice you won't even think about it you'll see B and press triangle.
