Thumbs up emoticon.

It would be really nice if Steam Chat had a thumbs up emoticon. I know it's much ado about nothing, but it's a really convenient way to communicate a simple affirmative or otherwise positive gesture. Perhaps also a thumbs down to compliment it.

Seems kind of dumb that you have to buy a basic chat feature, but I suppose it's a solution to my suggestion enough that my suggestion has already been implemented.

Emoticons come from crafting badges, and there are at least a few games where the developers decided to include a thumb or two as an emoticon.

I never got into the whole trading card thing. It's a lot of effort, to which I'm sure you'll reply "just buy the emoticon then," but as I said, it's a basic chat feature. I have my answer, it's already been implemented, but that doesn't mean that I have to like it.
