isn't there a game with animated avatars of Nazi war criminals in the points shop
https://store.steampowered.com/points/shop/app/1200330/
I don't deal in irrational fear and hatred.
They were terrible people. They did terrible things and they died. History is literally full of such types. In fact the most terrible people seem to be the ones that get into the history books.
OP. I suggest for your own mental health that you do not look too deeply into the Steam catalog.
The problem is, where and when does it end? Nobody is going to have a problem with Julius Caesar or Ghenkis Khan despite their own atrocities, are they? How old does a figure need to be where it becomes scceptible? At a point its just better to allow everything then make arbitrary lines in the sand.
E: to be clear I'm not sure if Hitler is banned explicitly or not, or just that nobody wants to go there, which case I don't really blame them lol
Seems like a likely troll/award farm thread to me, given the lack of post history as well.
To Reggae, Joseph Stalin is the same time as Hitler though. If there is an argument that Hitler is still sensitive for the families of those affected, the same argument can be used for Joseph Stalin. And the same argument can be made for Chairman Mao, for that matter.
Julius Cesar and Genghis Khan did commit atrocities but time has distored them into nothing more than a cartoonish story.
It's much easier to have the discussion when it's everywhere in this thread next to my replies. That's why. I don't care about the loss of a few thousand steam points.
* Replace "Hitler" with "Stalin" the second time around.
Idk how effective that is, because he looks distant and small, unless you hover your mouse over the avatar... Like, at this point how do I know you're not a secret admirer of Ioseb Jughashvili?
