Old Controller Configuration Layout

As far as I know there is no way to roll back to the old layout, at least put an option to use which layout. The new layout isn't flexible and slow. Every small configuration has it's tab which it's really annoying. You can't have a quick look on everything in one page.

The new layout looks like is was made by some one who has never pick up a game in there life. get a new job, your just messing up other peoples ♥♥♥♥ and you know nothing about what your doing!

I'm left handed and mirror my control settings for 3rd and 1st person games. I'm pretty mad about this new update. Refunded one game because it took me two hours to configure and it was still broken.

at least give us a CHOICE to revert back to a Good ui before it was changed for no good reason at all

There is no ANTI DEADZONE settings.

Forced to quit any game and use big picture mode when ever i need to change anything its so annoying.

Who ever ruined the controller setting needs to be fired he clearly lied to get his position.

I agree. My old configs still work in games that I played before they changed it, but in new games I can't use my generic config, because for some reason there's no tab for templates. I would copy it manually for each game, even though that would be annoying, but I can't even do that because the new layout won't allow me to bind "Turn controller off" to a button.

It's also not as readable.

Maybe it works better on the steam deck i don't know, but for stand alone controllers on a PC the old one is miles better for configuring and relearning your old configs when coming back to a game years later after not playing it

Just got hit by the new change, it's all menus and drop downs. No visualisation of your dead zones, it was extremely usefull now that so many controllers joystick drifts now.

We had everything visible at glance... it's so dissapointing.

the new UI is just not practical
the old one can still be used by going into big picture mode, but wen the new BP comes out i am guessing it be no longer possible to use the old config UI
please give us the option to use the old config UI

if you want to force me to use the new UI then gift me a steam deck :P

Bumping this topic, please bring back the old custom controller configuration UI, the new one is an abomination. As is the vast majority of the new SteamDeck focused OS. massive catastrophic downgrade for one of the oldest and best pieces of software in gaming.

:Tries to change anti deadzone in game gets a black screen where controller setup should be.

:Has to quit game to see screen.

:Sees no anti deadzone setting anymore.

:Forced to go into big picture mode to change anything.

:Cant change any setting in game anymore so forced to load up and quit games 100 times to change anything and test it.

:Steams "new" controller support breaks in game controller setting in a lot of games so forced to reset them every time you load a game up.

:Wastes 4 hours on something that should have taken 2 mins.

:Blows brains out from steams stupidity.

now there's a notification on a gear icon and if i click it it just crashes the controller ui lovely just a Great update overall don't ya think? /s (give us the damned option to choose the old one that actually worked)
