Ability to compare a game's system requirements to your PC's specs
I've always wanted this feature to be on Steam, so that people don't need to go to other sites such as systemrequirementslab to check if their PC meets the game's requirements. Steam does scan your hardware, as seen in the upper left corner of the Steam window under "Help" > "System Information". To people who have some experience in computers, it might not seem much, but it'd still be cool for this to be added for people who are new to PCs.

How about a system where you could search a discussion area to find that your suggestion has been suggested and rejected many times because its not accurate and because then people would start blaming Valve because the game they didn't bother to look into first didn't work on their system and they would say the system said it would so it would cause more spam to steam support.

Because I live on planet earth and have been around a while and see what stupid things people get ticked off about and will actually sue over.

They will blame Valve instead of taking a bit of time and learning about their own computer system.

Yeah unfortunately as good as the idea seems, it would backfire on Valve.

Didn't Bill Gates have a similar quote?

Edit: turns out maybe he didn't... http://www.computerworld.com/article/2534312/operating-systems/the--640k--quote-won-t-go-away----but-did-gates-really-say-it-.html
