Steam Phone = No More Trade Restrictions
The whole reason trade restrictions exist on an item after you buy it is for secuirty reasons. To make sure someone isn't using another's account to buy stuff before giving it to their own account.

However, if your Steam is linked to your phone, you have to go through your phone to confirm all trades anywyas, which makes the beforementioned security measure outdated.

That is why people who have their Steam linked to their phone should be free of having to deal with trade restrictions. If you are linked to your phone, nobody would be able to just buy stuff on your account and send it to another account unless they have access to your phone, so I see no reason why these restrictions should still be in place for phone users.

That said, it is rather frustrating to have to wait a week before giving my friends tour tickets so that they can tour with me all over a security measure that is no longer necessary, and the implimenting of such a thing would be a good perk to make linking to your phone more worth it.

Did you buy the tickets? That hold exists as a anti-fraud measure to minimize the chances of someone buying an item (sometimes with a stolen card), trading it, then doing a credit card chargeback.

Yes, I bought the tickets in hopes of touring with my friend. I didn't consider the stolen card part of it all though. Damn.
