FYI you can exclude tags in the store search.
For example: http://store.steampowered.com/search/?tags=4747 is a search for "Character Customization", while http://store.steampowered.com/search/?tags=-4747 is a search for everything that's not tagged with "Character Customization".
You can combine this with other tags, such as http://store.steampowered.com/search/?tags=-4747,19 which produces "Action" games that aren't tagged "Character Customization".
You can get these numbers by applying the tags from the tag box on the right in the store search.
This doesn't work for the tag "Early Access" though for some reason.
I like the anime art style and I still agree with your proposal.
Also I'm amused by your username. :D
That said, as for the Queue, that thing works by showing you games in order of decreasing fame.
So if you've gone through the Queue too many times, you start getting increasingly obscure games.
It's entirely possible to like one instance of something but not be interested in more games like it. For example I play Team Fortress 2 but basically no other FPS games.
I do play a few others. such as Portal and Metroid Prime, but they are few and far between and I never find myself looking for them.
Allow all tags EXCEPT FOR
-Anime
-FPS
-Strategy
-Grand Strategy
-Walking Simulator
-Memes (honestly, why is this a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tag, what the hell?)
-Visual Novel
-Shooter
How crazy would THAT URL look?
Anime = 4085
FPS = 1663
Strategy = 9
Grand Strategy = 4364
Walking Simulator = 5900 (why is this even a tag?)
Memes = 10397
Visual Novel = 3799
Shooter = 1774
A search for games that have all these tags: http://store.steampowered.com/search/#sort_by=_ASC&tags=4085%2C1663%2C9%2C4364%2C5900%2C10397%2C3799%2C1774&page=1 (should come out with nothing)
The %2C is actually just a comma, and the rest of the stuff is rather irrelevant so we can just go with this:
http://store.steampowered.com/search/?tags=4085,1663,9,4364,5900,10397,3799,1774
As expected, that produces no results.
For all search results that DON'T have ANY of those tags:
http://store.steampowered.com/search/?tags=-4085,-1663,-9,-4364,-5900,-10397,-3799,-1774
There are 12949 items. If I specify that they have to be games (again, in the right-hand column), that cuts it down to 5498 items.
Do note that tags are not necessarily accurate. For example, "Shooter" seems to be generally used to refer to stuff like Counter-Strike, Call of Duty, Borderlands, Half-Life 2, Far Cry, etc, but it turns out that some people have also tagged games like Ikaruga and Gundemonium with it, which are also tagged as "Shoot 'Em Up", so if you were looking for games like Ikaruga, but you want to exclude games like Call of Duty, you'd accidentally also exclude Ikaruga by excluding the "Shooter" tag.
