Ability to private steam id

Ability to private steam id, so those that stalk for bad intent cannot try look you up at any method at all, steam id obviously remains same Valve knows who you are.

Adding a custom URL to your profile seems to do just that. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe your Steam ID shows up anywhere but in your profile URL when you don't have a custom URL.

It can be bypassed if you go steamrep and input steamid you always know where to find the player, if i change my name i would wanna go out of existance for anyone but my friends.

Paste profile URL and it'll find steamID, steamID3 and steamID64
Those never change so you can always find a person, no matter if they change name or custom url

I would just not accept friend requests you don't know.

These systems are here so a scammer cannot completely disappear after scamming.

All they have to do is block you, and your profile will always be easily accessible to them via their block list.

You can't stop someone from stalking you unless you private your profile completely, but if they do anything that breaks the Steam terms of service, you can report their profiles (just make sure to provide as much details as possible).
