Require users to pass a quiz before they can report posts
It's kinda sad that I need to even say this and it will most likely never be done, but see so many people with a complete failure of understanding the forum rules. Things like thinking that its against the rules to say "if someone is trolling report them".

They somehow think that translates into calling someone a troll, and believes its against the rules.

So perhaps we need a 10-20 question quiz where users have to pick from multiple posts and actually pick what fictional post is or isn't against the rules. Then once they've passed the quiz with 100% they are allowed to use the report post functionality.

That...would actually be pretty nifty.
It'd give a cooldown period to prevent rash emotion fueled reports. Educate people as to the actual rules, and by potentially reducing the number of reports make it easier for the moderators to spread their focus.

Good, thank you for admitting your toxicity.
Right, if that's toxic then what exactly would you classify your buddy as when he calls people imbeciles when they know more about the subject than him?

Or is somehow one OK and the other isn't?

He must have learnt from others, right? Seeing them doing that and nothing happening to them...

That excuse doesn't work. Give me a real answer.

I mean, you're not working as a paid mod, right? You don't know what is the situation after the volunteers were dismissed, you can only guess just like me.

Paid mods have been around for years now. So it's not unlikely the ex-volunteer mods know stuff about them.

so if someone's harassing me i'm not allowed to call them out for their behaviour? hahaha

Look, darling, telling you that some people would rather be violated than watching a loved one die is not harassing you.

Back to the topic, if that was a good idea I guess some forum would have done that, right?

There's no contradiction here, where did I say it's ok to call someone imbecile?

I know that. What I'm talking about is the number of reports they have to deal with daily.

No one knows that but themselves.

Actually, Killah has made various posts in the past that mention the report queue, even explaining how it works and what volunteer/global mods saw. So they did have a view on that.

Not to mention its not like replacing volunteer mods with paid mods magically changes how many reports are done on average... The number of reports they had as volunteer mods would be if anything less then their is now since the users on steam have increased.
