Adding full wishlist to cart, with one click.
Hi there,

Could an option please be added to "Add all wishlist items to cart"?

As someone with 80+ Items on their wishlist, it's an absolute haul to add each individually. I suspect that many others experience the same issue.

This option, naturally, allows for more purchases to be made, and for it to be done more easily.

At the very least, it shows people how much their wishlist would cost, should they wish to splurge on everything that they would want. For others, they may add all and buy.
Just having the choice would be nice.

Have a wonderful day/evening further :)

Most people are not buying hundreds to thousands of dollars worth of stuff at once. Adding that many things to the cart at once is just not a good idea.

You can already add a bunch of stuff to the cart quickly, specially if you use an actual browser.

Will also have all the issues of people doing that and then realizing after they bought hundreds of dollars of stuff that they either can't afford it, or didn't want to buy a bunch of stuff that wasn't on sale.

This will just cause too many issues.

Yeah that seemed like a weird flex for someone who's bought 27 games in 8 years

I agree with you 100% - this feature could've been helpful to me lol

They could have check boxes so several could be added in a single click without going back and forth.

At the very least, knowing what the wishlist value would be, it'd be interesting. Even if I don't personally buy 100+ games at once, someone else may want to. Others may just want to know how much it'd cost. Then can remove any accordingly, instead of adding, should they wish to do it the other way around.

The check box idea sounds great! They usually come with a "select all" option, thus resolving the prior request, whilst making it significant;y easier for anyone just scrolling through, not wanting to open and add individually.

I agree, it may result in some financial discomfort if someone does so irresponsibly. Hence, as Bug pointed out, a checkbox system may be more beneficial.

As for the browser point, I was not aware of that option (Though it seems like a reasonable way of doing so). It does still require leaving the steam application, where the process could be streamlined on the app itself.

As long as kids aren't taking their parents' credit cards, most people should be looking at the total cart value and thinking about it before adding card details.

Sounds like a good way for someone to "accidentally" buy dozens of titles and want to refund them, and then have a cry about finite amount of refunds.

And I'm not sure the amount of users who would utilize the feature is significant enough to warrant Valve doing it. That's not to say that it's not an idea, or that it would never be useful. But that can be said about a lot of YAGNI (ya ain't gonna need it) type ideas.

Even if it's just to add 5, or so, games from the wishlist, it gets a bit meh having to go back to the wishlist, add, back, add, back, add, etc. I hope your experience wasn't too shoddy :)

Sure, but if a significant number of people were often buying games in large batches then maybe there's an argument to be made for some change.

If there's not a significant number of users doing that, then there's not. And Valve can certainly track that sort of user behavior.

I have bought 15 to 20 things during a sale, but I added each and everyone of them myself and I always went to the webpage to see if there was a better deal to be had because sometimes there are bundles on there that include stuff you already had which helps drop the price even more. There has been cases where doing so saved me an extra 20%.

I dislike the idea of adding stuff right from the wishlist because of that chance of getting things cheaper.

Even if its just 1 to 5 things I'm picking up I always add it from the store page for the same reason.

I very much doubt there will be many people who just check off a bunch of boxes and then hit add to cart

I'd like to see the trouble that adding a 300 plus item long wishlist causes. This is a recipe for accidents and disaster, and yet more errors. There is a reason workflows exist.
