I want to track my review reactions. I want some more functionality in records made by Steam and for easier use by me.
I enjoy reading reviews to games as, well, it has saved me a TONNE of cassshhh but also reflects needs in the gaming hobby overall and development considerations that seem often missed or ignored.

Anyway, other than 'Add to Wishlist', as the only way I can really track a game within the Steam Browser/Interface at least, I would like a kind of 'Metric readout' that an individual can subscribe to and create when being involved with say Early Access games, Post Release changes, that sort of thing. The function would only be accessible to the customer and those he/she chooses to share it with. Obviously, Steam would have access too I suppose...

When enabling this function, Steam would basically just create a cvs file that can be exported which would list activity such as :

(Some may apply only if connected online)

In game time, dates, hours, idle and troubleshooting time, as determined by Steam or as initiated as a conditional record by the player.

Game and any relevant DLC purchases, dates, review reactions (Yes/No), Reviews posted, any associated media visited and maybe forums/urls (Only if initiated by the player), Discussions on troubleshooting and Hints and Tips, maybe favourited topics individually?

Favourite topics in discussions with often useful information about a game or a solution, whatever the reason, which seem to often be really difficult to find within the Steam browser at a later date unless you add a comment to the discussion yourself or are subscribed to it and get notifications way too often, especially if a quick poll type thread or something...

And finally, the big one : Modding. Usually a game will keep a file list of mods subscribed to within the files somewhere or may even be part of a batch process when loading the game, however, other than visiting the workshop and subscribing or unsubscribing, favourites and mods made by oneself, there really is no history of mods details such as Dates, Filesize, Updates, etc,, 'EVERYTHING! lol!

I feel this simple functionality alone would improve the quality of experience with a game, including finding bugs and mod conflicts in games, which seem often a problem and that people sometimes can only enjoy using a mod (or several hundred) with such game and their only real reason for even purchasing it in the first place... - The promise of 'modability'.

Having a list of data where/what/when mods are activated, disabled, subscribed to and unsubscribed from would greatly enhance troubleshooting in communities for a massive range of games and improve sales, flexibility in enjoyment of such game, let alone save time and frustration and, obviously could be a massive impact on QoL additions and considerations for game updates etc., if a player/ customer had the flexibility to just dump a datafile of interactions with the workshop and share with other players and Devs at ease.

Last but not least, a comment field for these generated lists/forms/parsed data somewhere for a player to record insights, problems and solutions, et. al..

T.L.D.R. :
A 'Dxdiag; type command/functionality for Steam inventory, review and discussion interactions and play records (Including when Steam Achievements drop), would be really, really, useful!

Also, a conditional or manually enabled real time data tracker for personal use of one's own Steam interactions and gaming activities, only.

Or, stay frustrated and waste time *trying to* solving problems often hidden in plain site. When if recorded. As in an history of data.

Thanks!

This is great, thank you!

Hmm okiedoke this is why I probably never discovered this... rofl...

Help > Steam Support > My Account > Data Related to Your Steam Account > Loooong liiist.

I rarely refund games (I read a ♥♥♥♥ tonne of reviews first) and not much trouble even with mods as I make mods myself sometimes.) So I can sort of see how I missed this.

Hidden in plain site but buried down a link parade that I rarely venture down

That is one buried link! lol///.... Thank you man but still, above could be kinda cool instead of trying to copy and paste stuff from Steam browser : P

Been an interesting last thirty minutes. I'll ah, just go kick myself, make a coffe and load up a game then...

Ta !

P.S. Digging for gold!
