Protect account from Epic launcher spy
I'm not web programmer, so I may be wrong, but in this article it says that Epic launcher spies on your Steam account activity.

I don't want to turn my account from public to private, so can you somehow encrypt our local data, so other programmes won't spy on it (by the way, is it even legal?). Can you add some option in Steam Client to encode and protect my data.

So will dozens and dozens of websites. It's public information unless you choose to hide it.

Heres an example site that collects friend information from your account https://steamid.uk/profile/76561197995780699 I can see friends you've deleted, etc.

Heres another that collects your game details https://steamdb.info/calculator/76561197995780699/?cc=us as you've chosen to hide them, it can't display them.

I know it's fun at the moment to sit on the Epic Games hate-train, but this isn't new.

I have Epic account and their client, so I don't know what you are talking about. :lunar2019crylaughingpig:

I didn't know about sites you mentioned. OK, now I want protection from their activity too. After another reading, it seems that making your account private won't hide your data from Epic launcher. I'd like to have some solution.
