Why by a game for 60 bucks when I can get access to 100 or 1000 games for 10 bucks.
In 1 month you can finish off 4 to 5 30 hour games easily so when the split of 10 bucks comes in they get pennies instead of many dollars.
All this and more is covered in all the other threads about this topic. Its a bad idea the first 100+ times its been suggested, its a bad idea now, it will be a bad idea the next 1000+ times its suggested.
This is only good for you, but it wouldn't be for long once game developers/publishers/ip owners started removing their games from Steam and going to other platforms that don't give away their games for nothing.
Want a subscribe of games you can keep, go get the humble monthly bundle. At least some of that money goes to charity.
GabeN already said he has no plans to do his own...

There you go, its available if the developers want to offer one.
