Give Valve the authority to manually ban cheaters for ALL games
Please consider creating an Anti Cheat Department on steam. To put it short, overwatch from cs go, but for all multiplayer games.

Make it optional for games to participate in that system.

This Anti Cheat Department would only ban very obvious cases. Let players record a short 15 seconds video proof, and send it to the Anti Cheat Department. Valve will then eventually issue a ban.

Again, I'm only referring to very blatant rage aimbot cheats, where there's no chance of issuing a false ban.

A lot of cheaters feel untouchable. This needs to end.

Just a quick note mate, your first link just goes to the topics, not a thread, thats all

They must have deleted the thread, it was about a guy that lost $2.000 in skins, mate.
Gotcha gotcha, good to know, thanks Pierce

I've noticed one of the main arguments against this idea is "what if someone steals your account and cheats... then you would lose access to various games!"

Curiously, some Steam "veterans" seem to forget things way worse than that are happening already:

I like how honest this guy is. He messed up and he knows it, it's all his own fault, he's not trying to blame Steam. If you're not careful, sit happens, that's life. When you're the responsible for your loss, you can't blame the system for it. Heck, if you leave your doors open everytime you go out, you might have a surprise when you come home, right?

What is 2k compared to 2 million, though?

https://win.gg/news/2-million-in-csgo-skins-got-hacked-valve-actually-responds/

This demonstrates that Valve can fix any mess... if they want so, of course.
I can't view here the 1st link goes as just goes to the sub forum, not to any discussion.

But yeah if Steam wanted to they can go out of their way to do it, but the problem is that there was a surge of people that keep giving out their accounts, either willfully even knowing it was a scam, or was tricked into such things as they didn't know it was scams, or phishing sites.

The willfully part was when Steam used to go out of their way to restore everyone items whenever they have their account stolen, and it got to a point of the problem where certain people expect Steam to mob up all their problems everytime they deliberately give their account away, and get worse when have scammers trying to scam people for outside trading for money, or other things, only to get item back to repeat scam all over again, and can kind of see the whole messy problems behind it.

Is that the user with a Trade ban that keeps spamming the forums, retired mods and Valve employee profiles talking about gambling using a skin site?

Hmm? No, I guess not. I've found that thread earlier today and saved its link, in the meantime moderation deleted. Anyway, I've edited my post with another example. This kind of stuff happens all the time.
Valve really needs to do more about cheaters.
CSGO is a mess compared to Valorant.

How often is riot in the news for doing something questionable or downright evil? How often is Valve? Yeah..

I'm just saying it really has nothing to do with it. Riot could be as evil as possible and it still doesn't change if Valve needs to improve. In an actual active conflict sometimes you need to pick a side, but this isn't that (yet).

Riot is not who I want anyone to take ideas from for their anti-cheat, or really anything else for that matter, VAC is still one of the best ones bc it doesn't screw real players, I'm sure they continue improving it, but the if the "improvements" come at the cost of user experience I'd much rather them not do that especially when it's a requirement to play games I already bought.
I pick the side of not being treated like a cheater when I'm not just bc others are, If I am I can spend my money and time elsewhere, wish modern gamers had some standards other than whatevers the popular opinion to hold about a game that just so happens to financially benefit it's publishers at the expense of user experience that they don't notice having such low standards.

I thought that was probably your implicit point, but you didn't elaborate. So I just responded as such.

Valve's rep for being the pro-consumer good guy is no longer deserved.
People who think so are living in the past.

The people who live in the past also had it wrong. Valve really did some good marketing in the past to convince so many people that they're the good guys.

Idk, Valve could and sometimes does announce things that many people are excited for, they as a company have a large passionate fanbase for the past 20+ years, meanwhile the average riot games player is not someone I expect to spend significant time reading gaming news or discussing them and such. I mean the same thing applies to the average Steam level 0, 1+ Game owned, 5000 hours Dota 2/CSGO player too but the point is Valve at least does do quite a bit more than just going for the lowest common denominator to exploit for the most money, I wish they quit live service games personally, it's their biggest ♥♥♥♥♥♥ normalizing microtranscations with TF2 and such, riot however doesn't have anything else going for them or their games and they never really had either. Riot and Valve are on pretty much of the exact opposite side of gaming going for a different target audience.
