Option to uncensor steam comments?

I understand censoring comments and I also understand, because they are solid pieces of text, it's a bit harder to code them to show up differently for other people, but can we PLEASE have an option to uncensor them?

If it genuinely does require an entire rework of steam comments, that would probably be a good thing because of how outdated the whole system is, but I'd understand how futile the effort is with how well steam comments currently work. Just a bit annoying when someone says something and you have no idea what it is, because of a mandatory censor that you can't disable for just yourself.

The thing is, the filter is for more than just swear words. It's also for malicious links.

They'd have to totally separate them into their own systems. Not exactly a fun thing or really worthwhile when Valve doesn't really want either to be shown.

Honestly if something is not understood because the profanity is censored, then it wasn't something worth saying after all.

Just turn off the censor altogether. This is what I did specifically...

And the only things filtered are blacklisted links and hard coded filtered words like, free and skins. Put the 2 words together and they are filtered no matter what.
