steam light mode option
Can/is there be an option for a light mode on steam, the default version makes my eyes feel fatigued and at the same time the darkness reminds me of the old MSDOS days.

You know. You could just find a Steam skin that suit your tastes. The solution already exist even thought it would be more simple for the average user if Steam had one implemented.
What do you mean by steam skin?

Steam supporns skins, which are basically themes. You can create your own or download and install one someone else has made

I think you might be one of the few people in the world that wants a light option. But a dark mode and light mode and default mode setting would be nice so users have options. I prefer to not get blinded myself though.

IKR. I wish the default was always dark. turning on an iPad hurts my eyes.
Would be nice to be able to adjust the background and font colors (and fonts themselves but let's not get ahead of ourselves) for the Steam website as well. Right now Steam's basically the only website I use that's in "dark mode".

I can assure you that anyone with astigmatism, which may be as much as 40% of the population, would appreciate the option. It really is an accessibility thing
