[Suggestion] Family Share Icon
Forums have Owner's Icon for those who own the legal copy of the game here in Steam. That is a good addon.

However, Family Share does not grant any sort of icon. This causes all sorts of arguments around forums.

Would it be possible to add Family Share Icon, in addition to current Owner's Icon? That would cut out a bunch of arguments and ranting from forums

They are forum trolls best left ignored and not paid attention to. I agree it would be useful as it would prove OP has access to game, but thats even irrelevent, if user is facing issues in the game, only way he would know about it is if he did in fact play the game and have access to it (obviously family sharing if hes posting on steam but doesnt have game in library), which immediately disputes all ''you dont own game''.

Sounds like a fair request, and as you say, it would reduce the "You don't even own this game" comments.

I've stumbled upon a few cases where it turns out that they have been naughty and used a pirated copy.

I have no intentions of helping them. :antipiracy:

Right after your nick. A mouse icon, and when you hover over it it says "has x".

The little mouse icon next to your name. It appears in forum posts, if you own the game for the forum you are replying to.

Aye, it'd be good to have this feature. A lot of users get overzealous and start hurling accusations of piracy when someone who doesn't own the game asks for help, without even knowing if that's true.

It is also frustrating for people giving their free time to help others in forums. Player with private profile (number of them just exploded after Steam update) might insist that they are using family share, wasting hours of time from others to solve their problems. In fact, they might not have legal copy and all, but refuse to accept that they will not get help from forums.

I have no idea how many hunderd times I have asked someone to give their FNIS report for Skyrim and then realized that they were actually using junk version of the game. That information can be easily read from the log.

At least we would know, if someone is just there insisting to spend hours of our time for something that could not be fixed in the first place, or actually has a legal copy of the game and legit issue we can solve.

I swear I never noticed that.

People lead wars over that icons. Quite good to see someone protected from that mess. It happens only in game forums though, obviously.
