Ability to disable "Steam has finished downloading" popup.
This seems like such a small, silly thing to not have. I just installed a bunch of games and I'm watching YouTube while waiting for some of them to download, and the little popup keeps popping up...

It's a feature. It's trying to let you know you were successful. How does it steal focus from a browser though?

I don't care if it's a "feature", I want the ability to disable it LOL. Calling it a "feature" doesn't change anything.

It steals focus by popping up.

You could try to move it to another desktop with win+tab+newdesktop

Well that works in some situations but not all, and it's a bit silly that I would even have to do that in the first place.

Actually scratch that, another popup just popped up so I guess it doesn't even work anyway.
There should just be more customizability in the different kinds of notification pop-ups, period.

I've seen some people say they don't want to see stuff like the new item notifications when they get trading cards, for example.

Yeah, I mean "finished downloading" is just the first thing that came to mind. If it pops up, I want the option to make it not pop up.

As I was typing that sentence, another game finished downloading and interrupted my comment.

It would be funny to queue up a huge game download, and then find a ton of like <100MB games and queue them all up after the big download, then cancel the big download. Your computer would probably be nearly unusable for a few minutes while it downloads like 100 games in rapid succession.

i just want to remind everyone that it still sucks to not be able to disable this annoying notification.

Turning off all toast notifications (added in 2023) doesn't do this?

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
