You have 250+ games, and likely have games that you very much enjoy. So long as you never touch the game you dislike again, it will never pop up in recently played again. There is no reason to add an option to delete games from that list, its redundant.
That would be correct if I wouldn't add Bundle games monthly to my Library that despite not being played once yet, will still appear in my Recently played.
So as it may be redundant for some people, it would be appealing for others. And it definitely is appearling for me.
I have humble choice as well. Regardless, the games you enjoy playing will take up the space once you start playing them. The ones you do not like, will eventually go away so long as you don't touch them again. Still don't see a real need for this feature but, you do you.
That doesn't solve anything. The main "Recently Played" list is time based so it takes weeks for a game to disappear off the list.
I think Recently Played serves little purpose than to allow some people to stalk others! Why should anyone want to know what someone has recently played? I guess some people may need help to remember what they played a few days ago but that seems a weak reason for having the feature. As OP says I don't see any reason why people should not be able to delete games from the list then people could decide for themselves what they want to see or what they want other people to see.
