That said, how is two people controlling the same ingamecharacter becomming multiplayer?
How would that even work?
Ask yourself why would a dev making a singeplayer game go out of his way to implement such gimmick? it's a waste of time.
I mean sometimes when you want to do wacky things you improvise your own processes ad hoc. You don't need a developer to do them for you. You don't need everything done for you. Not everything needs to be codified or "official".
To be precise, it's more like remote hot-seat mode that I am thinking of.
Multiplayer is also game feature, Steam did remote play together anyway.
Uh incorrect. Remote play together isn't creating something that doesn't exist in a game.
Steam remote play is not a must either. Players can set up virtual local network using third party tools to play those local multiplayer games.
Then I am not suggesting something not existing in game either.
Maybe, I am not a game developer, so I am asking for comments.
Except you are? If a developer doesn't create a game mechanic that does what you want then it doesn't exist.
Remote play is a smidge more complicated. Figuring out how to make a one player game a two player game is probably gonna be up to the players who want to do that to sort out.
I mean you can make comments about unrelated multiplayer features all you want. Not all features are equal or have equal value. One feature doesn't necessarily justify another.
