Change my city name from Lvov to Lviv, please.

Current city name I can pick in profile settings is Lvov, it may comes from Russian version Львов or Polish version Lwów, I don't know.

What I know is that we, Ukrainians, call our city Львів or Lviv (as it translated on Google Maps - Lviv, Lviv Oblast). I am Ukrainian, I live in Ukraine, I live in Lviv, I wish to see my city name translation from Ukrainian version, not Russian or Polish ... Please.

As well as I don't care of those who come to teach me how my language "translation" should look like. Something like that (from your link discussion) "Kiev however is somewhat correct. Kyiv is the transliterated version from Київ whereas Kiev is the "English" spelling."

We all know where from this Kiev "English spelling" comes absolutely clearly - from our USSR past where everything was named in Russian (Киев), no doubt. USSR have gone from space and time (hope it never come back) decades ago and no one care of it no more. I don't want to see this "translated" from Russian version names everywhere, it annoying me.

My country name is Ukraine, not USSR, my country official language is Ukrainian, not Russian (no more), I suggest to see correct names translation.

I pay money for Steam games/services not for seeing this crap. Google can and Steam can't?

Steam uses an outsourced and outdated service for this, they haven't changed it in ten+ years.

They're most likely to just remove it altogether than fix it.

You can type anything you want in your profile text. Do that.

Steam is free to use. The game developers pay Steam not you.

1. Other cities named correctly eg. Mykolayiv, Murovane, Kulykiv, etc. I just asked to fix error and use correct name for my city Lviv (not Lvov).

If you are from Steam staff, we can probably discuss something. If you are not from Steam staff - your advise to go type anything I want in my profile ("to go f** my self"), has zero value. Thank you kindly for attention, but I suggested to Steam staff for fixing my city name, not asked for such "advises".

As you were told don't hold your breath, steam knows about it, but its probably at their bottom of the list of things to do as its cosmetic. Making more suggestions on it isn't going to make them do it, and no one from Steam posts on this forum, its a user forum.

Nobody from Valve responds here, they may read it but it's not like they aren't aware of this already.

You pay money for game licenses, the profile stuff is a bonus, you aren't entitled to any of it.
