Nothing in that article refers to my issue. I am not asking to modify my shipment as i know it is too late, hence this is in the suggestion section.

The issue is DELIVERY is the ONLY option. FEDEX does NOT allow holds without valve telling them to allow it, which of course valve will not do.
Yeah, it does actually, and Im just reading it for the first time.
"How do I modify or cancel my shipment?
You can modify or cancel shipment within 24 hours of placing your order. After 24 hours has passed, your order is allocated for shipment and can no longer be changed, cancelled, or recalled either by you or by our Hardware Support team."
'Modify or cancel shipment'
and:
"What happens if my order can’t be delivered?
When the carrier is unable to deliver an order, it is returned to our shipping warehouse. All charges, including shipping, are automatically refunded back to the original payment method.
Undeliverable orders cannot be shipped again; instead, you will need to re-order the products."
Work from home.
Call in sick.
Ask a friend.
Ask a family member.
Pick up one of these: https://www.packagepatrol.com/
Plan an elaborate heist to get your own package from the truck before you go to work/school.
I kinda feel your limiting yourself in terms of options... ;)
All that said, I do hate when companies don't allow the pick-up option.
Good to hear you got it sorted.
It stated in the article the delivery company used which is who you need to contact in the KB article...
Did I ever say it was to be done any other way? Pretty simple logic to contact the delivery service to ask for a hold and not Valve.
After reading who is delivering the shipment, using Google is far less than 7 clicks to get to the page needed.
What is even easier, there is a tracking code in the email where you can access FedEx's page.
I think you misunderstood my post. The reason I wrote this post is because FEDEX will NOT hold the deliver due to shipper restrictions. I have held plenty of packages for me to pick up later. Valve has put restrictions FEDEX can ONLY deliver to the house and get a signature, NO HOLDS.
That is why i put this under suggestions and was not actually asking for help. I was suggesting Valve ease on the restrictions for others who may order in the future.
