thats bs, and the user probably even knows that.
Free games on Steam do happen from time to time. Usually it happens when devs are working on a sequel to a single player game. They give away the first one for free as a marketing strategy and get more fans who'll possibly buy the new one, maybe even on release.
Steam itself rarely gives free games because they are already the dominant platform. Most PC gamers have a Steam account. Some, or maybe a lot, have only a Steam account and no other platforms.
I'd like some free games too but that's how it is, bro.
Just like CKII (Crusader Kings II)
Base game is now free though there is a tonne of dlc...
I smart a bit about it myself. Paid twenty bucks for that game lol... WIsh they'd give a free DLC to those that originally bought the game.
In any case, a great introduction point for those interested in that genre. And sales sometimes make the DLC a viable buy too.
Post's like this should be banned here.
Huh?...
Firstly, giving cc details to a company based in a dubiously political/administered arena is just silly... There is courage and faith and, there is verifiable, even certifiable, stupidity.
Secondly, Steam has some security validating purchases made in various countries via globally defined access... (Sucks, but if you have money to travel or funded to, you can afford another key...)
Thirdly, I seriously hope anyone purchasing from Epic is wary of the 0 customer service reported by many and also does not use a card attached to an account that is their only savings. Use a , what we called years ago 'Disposable Account' with only a few bucks in there that you top up every now and then.
