Library Ideas - Subcategories
When the categories came to the Steam Library I started collecting and buying lots of games (many that will never be played) just to satisfy my inner collector. But as time went on, I found some lack of features that stops me from collecting certain games, let me explain:

I want to collect every game that is edited by Bethesda and is from my interest, so I'll create a category called Bethesda and add the game there, but maybe I'm specially interested in Arkane, so I'd like to be able to add another category inside the Bethesda one called Arkane, and so on (one category per saga -Dishonored-, except standalone games -Dark Messiah-).

With that we'd have a cleaner library, more pleasant, easier to reach whatever we're searching and it will encourage us to collect more (and buy more games).

We've been asking for a while now. Maybe in ValveTime.

Sub catehories could mess with the Home view Collections and not be picked up .
Like windows folder options will preview a folder but not a folder within a folder.

Whynot just creat the categories iof 'Bethesda', Arkane, Dishonored, and assign games accordingly. That way if you just want an arkane game you don't have to click through bethesda.

Remember a game can belong to multiple categories at the same time.

Because if I do that i get a library with 9999+ categories and games duplicated in 2 or more categories (example: Arkane - Dishonored, Arx Fatalis, etc // Bethesda: Dishonored, Skyrim, Arx Fatalis, etc). I've tried it and it's a mess, in fact i've tried many other ways to sort the games and nothing worked well.
And for the example I've used Bethesda, but imagine if you want to collect Ubisoft games: You should have a category for every saga (AC, FC, etc) and then one general category for Ubisoft. It's a mess, it does not work.

I only apply 2 categories on a game when I add an independent and personal category such as VR, Indie or 2010s, 2000s, etc...

It should be an option: you can use it or not. If you don't use it that would be like if this option was never introduced in the first place, but there are some people that want to be able to chose.
