Removal of Steam Custom Profile URL

It doesn't allow us to do that anymore can we have this back?

I dont understand why this isnt a toggle-able function already.
Like my gamertag has been something since I was a kid,
But I like to switch funny nicknames once in a while,
when people search for my name they find something else

The function was removed in 2020. Only support can do that now.

I would like to have this just because it looks better when I ask people who ive played with to add me. Because when I search myself I see I get my custom vanity ID and it looks a bit "cleaner" when theres none and just one name, one picture in my opinion so I would like to go back to just numbers

You can still give people your Community URL and it will auto redirect to your profile using your custom URL...

Yeah I know that but I am talking about when people search for my name on the community,
"Burn Energy Blue"
then it displays that and my "gamertag" name tezzofino in the results.
For some reason when people havent assigned a custom vanity ID,
that doesent appear which I think looks cleaner.
F.ex. like my friend "zdefanoz"
