Real-time Cloud Streaming of game demos without Download.
Like GeForce Now/Stadia, please allow Steam users to try Game Demos by clicking a button to Play a title immediately without having to download and install the title on the local machine.

The game should launch in a secondary window for the user to try it out in real-time. While the demo is running, Steam should collect dxdiag stats from the host and politely inform the user if their computer meets the minimum requirements for that game before they purchase it.

Then, after a limited amount of time, end the demo by soft closing the session and presenting the user with the option to purchase the title.

Upon purchase, the title has to be downloaded and installed locally and can no longer be streamed.

Who knows if Valve is already thinking just that.

Liability is why Steam will not tell you whether a game will run on your system.

This also applicable to developers who use minimum and recommended for system requirements.

The onus is on you to know your system.
