Bug tracker system for games on Steam
I am not entirely sure whether any sort of staff attention is actually made here, but I found this subject important enough to bring up. I stumbled on a discussion in a different topic for a game about the lack of support on the steam forums there is from the developers themselves. And in the case of bugs and issues, they have a forum and a bug tracker system integrated there. It would be useful to have such implementation possible for Steam forums as well.

I found that this has been suggestion before, once way back in 2012 and one not too long ago, but both times it doesn't appear to have really gone anywhere so I figured it would be useful to at least bring up the topic once more. If developer forums can do it, then surely Valve could implement a similar system to work better for bug tracking on Steam as well.

Valve uses the Bug Report forum and Help & Tips forum for client and website bugs. Beta and non-beta.

For games Valve makes, their game hubs are where bug reports go.

For games they don't make, they don't or won't do that. That is up to the game devs for said games to do.

Would be a bad idea?

They don't have access to the games code nor can they do anything about the bugs.

Trello and Jira have no code access either.

The idea was to have a forum system that can connect to a bug tracker if that's possible, I'm not entirely knowledgeable on bug trackers overall. Then users can report the bugs through the forum's form that is connected to a bug tracker to speed up the process for everyone.

I think is more a business thing. Many developers and players prefer to use Discord instead of forums. Same with Bug trackers, because there are free solutions, some developers will use those and an additional such service to developers will not attract them to publish on Steam more than on other portals.
Many players do not know what bug tracking means anyway and provide bad input when they report bugs. And I would prefer to play games than be a tester. Those who know how to write proper bug reports have no problem making an account on a different dedicated platform.

But there exist bug tracking subforums for many games already, just that it can't be streamlined for that purpose. Not everyone has to or will write something entirely comprehensive, just the ability to outline each section appropriately and also attach files in case that's necessary could help out in the long run for many. You don't have to participate in this regardless, it just means the same external tools would now be available to use through Steam as well.

Developers can create sub-forums in their hubs that are specifically named "Bug Reports" so that it doesn't get mixed up with all of the other discussions.

You could suggest this to them, however, I wouldn't recommend it since they can just ban you from their hubs just because they don't like you. Likewise, they can just delete any posts about bugs if they feel like covering them up instead of fixing them or allowing users to figure out how to deal with them on their own so... *shrug*
