The ability to hide specific games from your steam profile

It would be great if there was an option to individually hide/private certain games from your profile, so visitors cannot see them, without having to private your entire activity/library as a whole.

Yeah it's tricky that one there is no option yet to do that but I like this idea and has been asked for over quite a long time.
Select your Steam profile avatar from the top-right of the Steam app or website and pick the View my profile option.
Select Edit Profile and switch to the Privacy Settings side tab.
Under the My profile section, set Game details to Private.
What kind of games? I'll guess :)
Have good friends who dont care.
We can hide our playtime.
Keep your profile fully private to friends only.
Steam is slowly allowing more and more information about us everywhere.

Yup that would be a very nice feature.

One workaround, that fixes a lot of other stuff is to have a new account with the games you want to hide and make that one private.

yeah I know I can set them all to private, but I don't want to set ALL of my games to private, only embarrassing ones. Good friends or not, sometimes you just don't want them to know about certain games :P

Really hoping to see this implemented, I'd buy a lot of games I'm not wanting shown on my profile.

Agreed, there's all sorts of NSFW content on Steam now, and it doesn't make sense not to be able to hide that from your profile without making your entire profile private.

other software has pockets, steam might want to look into that.

example folder privacy, same can be done with move game inside so you have all for yourself.

dont expect you can post or show anything from that game forum or worse sell item. then game is inthere. ( totaly off the grid )

I personally feel giving the ability to hide NSFW content from your public profile will boost sales of nsfw content that a lot of users otherwise would be too embarrassed to buy.

There's another concern beyond "NSFW". That being that if someone isn't "out" to their friends, they don't want to be forcibly outed by hours spent on a LGBT-oriented dating sim or something.
