Report a translation problem
Making items deletable is probably the best solution. However, one reason why Valve doesn't do this is they don't want to deal with users pitching a fit over "accidentally" deleting something and wanting it restored. People with OCD/Inventory clutter feelings are probably easier to deal with and letting unwanted items persist causes the least amount of issue.
And that you were warned about the limitations before purchasing.
