Thank you for sticking with Linux Gaming through the hard times, when it was "dumb" to be gaming using Linux.

I mean-- Just wait until the Steam Deck releases.

And to be honest-- Valve is the one that is making linux a viable OS to game on-- Honestly-- if this Proton bit is worth what they are saying-- I might switch to Linux, myself.
The last big hurdle with proton is anticheat, and since Valve is in talks with anticheat providers, I think proton might soon enough get over that hurdle. Won't make any definitive statements, since it's still for now promises, but Valve's commitment to it is making me hopeful at least

Even if not Valve is definitely eager to get things running. So if AC providers cover their ears Valve will build their own integration with Wine or whatever. Linux is on a run and Windows gaming will soon be dying.

I think it has a long way to go until dying.
The big turning point would be if OEMs started putting the exact same machines side by side with the Linux ones being ~$100 less and the same bundle of games pre-installed.
