Given that one of the Steam Deck's use cases could be as a portable PC away from the main PC, I would like Valve to implement a way to sync saves for games that won't implement cloud saves. Otherwise, this device will only really be useful for games that have Steam Cloud enabled. Alternatively, we could also use a library tag for games that have Steam Cloud enabled so that we can tell which games sync saves back and forth between the two devices without checking each games page manually one by one.

The game devs set up their Cloud saves and total space for saves for their own titles.

Yes please do this Valve (perhaps you're on it already).
User/Community created cloud save rules. Expose the Steam Auto-Cloud feature to users in some fashion.

Allow us to create cloud rules for games without them, and edit already present rules such as no cross-platform when in reality the saves are cross-platform.
