Memo Pad on Library Game Page

Perhaps another bar like the Activity Feed, below it.
Id like it to use for any info id like to remember.
Personally have quite a few unfinished games, due to the time it takes to remember what I was doing or what the game is about, i keep delaying playing.

Wd b good for quest and rpg games.
adding a memo of what ur up to next and strategy etc..

This and notes on the wishlist items have been suggested and I heavily agree to both. It makes perfect sense for notes to be client side.

wen i posted this one, i had just had that moment of wasting and hour gettin familiar with the game n progress point etc.

Are you against this idea? Odd that you would create a thread titled suggestion/idea police which was locked while asking the OP to give reasons why especially when on another thread you posted.

Personally i have a folder with notes in for each game (not completed) so if i come back to a game i can refer to the notes.

I agree with the suggestion as it would be useful.

Did i state it was a disagreement or specifically ask if you were against the idea? Against.

Are those of us you accuse of been "suggestions/ideas police" not listing the reasons why a suggestion, idea is not feasible and expecting the OP and others for the suggestion, idea to discuss this with us? We are as we do when we agree with a suggestion, idea and expect others to disagree with us.

As for yourself on the Google Translator thread you were for the suggestion, idea and took umbrage at us that were not despite giving reasons why not.

Now oddly on this thread you are the opposite by asking the OP what the benefits are over other options which comes down to you doing what we do, BUT obviously when it is you, you are not a member of the, "suggestions/ideas police".

So yes, the suggestions, ideas forum is to discuss the pros, cons and express other opinions as you are doing on this thread, just as we do on this and others threads. Affirmation after all is not a requirement to post.

SHift-Tabbing to the overlay is generally less disruptive than Alt-Tabbing.. It also wouldn't add much, if anything in way of extre resource demands. since we're talking Basic Notepad level stuff.

While nort all games would ebenfit, for some games, particularly in the open world genre its a good tool to remind yourself.

It happens more than you think. A lot of games may not be hard-corded to not allow alt-tabbing, but there are plenty of times where it will glitch out and not work at all until you restart the game.

Even so, as previously mentioned, being able to access the notes via shift-tab would be amazing. Even more so if you were trying to play a game with a specific RP scenario and were making notes for the characters involved. Honestly there just is no downsides to this. It would actually be a lot of fun to use.

Yeah. That one I'm familiar with. DOta2 is rather notrious abouut that for me.

Comming back to Fallout/Morrowind\Etc after a break it can be hard to remember if you were going for Pope Beneficent, or Slitspipes McGhee.

I recall a fair few openGL games i couldn't alt tab out of.
they were by id too...

i was inspired by the activity-bar, in our Library, on the game's page.
alt/tab i ddnt kno bout b4, thx

using the overlay would be great for memos on our Steam friends.
k that reads creepy -

coz of a med.condition, i need to remind myself which friend was chattin with me about this n that - really good for reminder notes to gift a friend or who was generous to me etc...
Notepad etc. worked fine then lost files without back-up.

Overlay fab, tho i have had a good amount of games that dont have it....
