[Prop] GOG games on Steam Client ^ do you want it?
⬗ A person from Steam said few interesting things on Gog.com/forum
"Steam is my main platform."
"If I buy a copy on GoG, does GoG connect support activation on Steam?"
"Steam should integrate games from GoG into it's launcher automatically so that those would use Steam features, I would definitely support that."
and
"I'm surprised you're misunderstanding my question.
Isn't this what GoG connect is all about? But then in the other direction? Where you buy a Steam copy and then can activate it on GoG?" (ad. trough https://www.gog.com/galaxy )

⬗ Do you like these suggestions?
Would it be better for both companies to sell each others games ?
Would it be better for you?

⬗ I did play a game from Steam trough Galaxy2.0 and that works, with achievements.
If that is possible to play a game from Steam on Galaxy Client then it should be possible to play a game from Gog on Steam Client.

Please... add some constructive thoughts

Game devs decide where their games are sold and if purchasing on 1 platform allows access to the game on another.

Easy! Download the game installer from GOG (http download, not Galaxy), install the game, then add it to your library as a non-steam game. Done.

That's how things are. GOG could potentially also offer a partnership to buy Steam games through their client with their own 30 days refund policy, similar to how they integrated the EGS recently. A Steam account would of course still be necessary. (although, tbh, it's undermining GOG's fundamental feature - no DRM, and it's ultimately up to you where you want to buy the games from and whether you wish to create accounts for these.)

Fantastic! For what you have said, developers are publishing games on all different platforms with intention to reach 100% potential customers. Good for us ! : ) I support gamers
Like even now CP77 would be available to stream on https://stadia.google.com/game/cyberpunk2077 with other games, for players without best hardware.

I like this too, discovered one way system only and it does Steam`s achievements trough Galaxy (not visible on Gog profile http).
There is a big voting about it https://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/activate_already_owned_e_g_on_steam_games_on_gog

From searching engine (...)Since GOG games are DRM-free and come with lots of digital extras, it's a simple way to merge the convenience of Steam with the versatility of GOG. The process does not appear to work in reverse, though, so if you've purchased an eligible game on GOG, you'll have to buy it again on Steam.2 cze 2016(...) maybe something has changed since then

this is it ! what I am looking for (at least in integration part), to play drm-free games (offline installers) trough Steam Client, what for? For freedom to chose between PC games from different stores, multiplatform multiplayer as well.
There are great players here on Steam, I used to play Cs and I am not a political person.
That was unpaired machines(settings, hardware, network) that stopped me from multiplayer, people are willing to play with people of different clients.

Thanks to the option Add a non-Steam Game...
I can play my Gog`s offline installers which are crucial and unreplaceable files for my games offline backup on HDD. AND NOW! I can play them on -> Steam Client! having a reason to use steam client as my main platform is Gog.

I am not able to buy Steam games trough Galaxy tho, I am able to play and merge Steam games library and achievements with use of https://www.gog.com/connect
same with Epic games, can play whole library but can`t buy their games trough GGalaxy.
There is official Integration with Xbox Live, and community integrations with Origin, Play Station Network, and Uplay.
Edit: Can`t buy any drm games on GOG, this is one of its core values.

Looks like integration is a future, like whole world need to cooperate to go further in space.
Essentially we need to give local flavours (biggest community, drm-free games, streaming, total integration, biggest number of games, multi-chat, availability) a freedom.
This is in our, gamers, interest to have it all. This is what I am looking for.
Exactly same things would solve worldwide territories future = INTEGRATE TO SAVE local flavours, local culture. :)

You have convinced me to Steam by biggest community and biggest number of games.
I can ask strange question here and both Mods and Users are friendly.
I can find some missing games here that are nowhere else.
I can share games with family or friends, nice option.
and I found this: https://store.steampowered.com/remoteplay?snr=1_614_615_together_1601 "Stream your games from your PC to other devices" or "Share online co-op with friends"
this is not sugar, I do like it : )

and
Within Gog approach I do love
Drm-free games (offline installers), multiplatform integrations in gogalaxy.com , really new & really old games, future multi-chat, and helpful people on forum,

unless someone is too steamie there : ) or too gogie here : )

Now than,
I have tried two installers, both drm-free
https://www.gog.com/game/blade_runner and ✓ it works! all shift+tab works, and I could make screenshots
and
uk.gamersgate.com/DD-COLDZ/cold-zero-the-last-stand and ✓ it works! all shift+tab works, only screenshots does not, but I still have prt sc key so it is great!

So...Yes indeed, this is possible, to play GOG offline installers on Steam Client ! : )
and...it would be cool to buy games once, easy with two above, as these are exclusives to stores.

Oh, and other way tried too.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/265930/Goat_Simulator/ with Waste of Space DLC
and that works trough Gog Galaxy by Integration with Steam and I can see my friends achievements, do screenshots and use chat.

[IMHO}
https://youtu.be/UnmsqFq4TVc Neo is bulletproof ; )
I will bring people together or die trying... Jesus thought me ^
From today(knowledge updated) I want Steam and GOG (and GOST Integration) to survive :P on their own terms. I did not know what to think before.
Thank You! <3
please add more suggestions

Soldier of Fortune I and II would be nice. Not going to bother buying them on GOG.

And that's where you and developers are going to have differing opinions.
