Regional Pricing for Dominican Republic
've been using Steam for almost 8 years and I have seen Steam support 3rd world countries with lower prices on their store due to their lower wages compared to countries like the United States. So far I've been grateful to be even able to access the service and buy my games even at US prices but that's not the case for most people in this country because I have seen is been implemented on other similar platforms.

So is there any email or contact for this kind of requests or at least to get an answer on why we haven't been supported officially by steam?

Steam doesn't set the prices, publishers do.

EDIT: My bad if I didn't understood correctly.

Read the OP again.

The OP wants regional pricing for the DR instead of paying US prices.

With a country that is so small with a userbase so little, adding regional currency would be a long shot at best.

Do not ask for it, at least you are able to purchase every game, we got local currency and now a heap of games on my wishlist are no longer available to buy

Blame the game devs/pubs.

If you live in the Dominican Republic and want the correct regional prices, we need to talk about it here and get more attention from Steam, because this is not fair, we are Latin Americans and this is a country like Panama and others with very low salaries.

You're far more likely to be eventually merged into LATAM region than ever getting your own regional currency on Steam at this point. Or maybe Valve will create new Caribbean region that uses USD as currency and encompasses all countries in Caribbean. Throwing everything in Caribbean into LATAM is far more likely IMHO.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
